How Music Impacts Our Everyday Lives
Music is a gift no one can ignore. It has a huge impact on
every phase of life. No one in the world is untouched by it. This article explores
the various facets of music.
Good music can make a huge
difference in any environment. It makes a child happy, helps a lover express
his feelings, makes everyone dance and can even make plants grow faster! It is
rare to find someone who actually abhors music.
Most of the people not only like listening to it but also
learning it in various forms. If you are a disc jockey, you can spin music for
others. Many try to learn to play musical instruments. Others, with even
passable singing voices, aim to train themselves to sing. Then there are those
who use dance as a medium to enjoy music. Many actually love composing music
and the rest like music recording.
Kids have a special affinity to music. Even newborns love to
hear soothing sounds. In fact doctors claim that playing soft music when
pregnant helps a child in the womb calm down and become more musically
inclined. Much of what a child likes in music depends upon what he has been
exposed to in his childhood. So, if you love listening to rock, your child will
probably pick up that trait too. Newborns have been seen to respond positively
to melodious tunes. Many cranky babies become quieter on being exposed to
rhythmic and soft sounds. Mothers have been known to help their babies sleep
with the sweet strains of lullabies. Parents can download music that soothe
their kid and use that to help him get calm.
Where would lovers be without music? Some of the best songs
and tunes have been utterly romantic. Who can forget the hauntingly beautiful
title track of “Love Story”? Lovers have been using music to express their
feelings from ancient times. The ancient tribes in almost any place on earth
used some form of music and dancing to attract mates. Whether it was the drums
of Africa, the piano of Europe or flute of India, hypnotic music has brought
many a couple together. Lord Krishna’s mellifluous flute tunes have made him
one of the most romantic Gods ever. Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet were known
to break into songs to let out their feelings and even today, most of
Hollywood’s romantic comedies heavily depend on digital
music recording to become blockbusters.
Of course, there would be no dance without music. Dance is
one of the easiest ways to feel completely free. But unless there is some good
foot tapping number on, dancing is out of the question. Even if you have two
left feet, you will sway to the sounds of the popular songs. Music is the life
of parties. Discos and bars cannot do without it. Whether it is a wedding dance
or a birthday bash, music can make any social occasion full of fun.
If you love music, you love life. It can touch souls, pass
great messages and change the world. So, sing, dance , compose or just plain
listen to music and set your soul free. It is one of the easiest ways to enjoy
the moment and live it up.
